Donations & Matching Gifts

The Essential Foundation has a Matching Gift Program to support organizations that are important to you, our employees. Through this program, the Essential Foundation will provide a dollar-for-dollar match (up to $500 per year per employee) of donations you provide to eligible non-profit organizations. If a cause or organization is important to you and your family, then it is important to us. 

This Matching Gift Program connects your support of an organization with your role as an important member of the Essential family. We appreciate the work you do to help make lives better, both during and outside of business hours. Not only are we committed to our communities - we are committed to you.

Click here to complete a Matching Gift Request Form. When you are finished with Part A, you should mail this form to the non-profit organization with your donation and ask the organization to provide a W-9.

As a part of our mission of making lives better, Peoples is committed to being active in the communities we serve. We provide financial support to organizations that enhance the quality of life of the customers, families, businesses and communities in our service territory. 

We are also committed to making lives better in the regions where our employees live and work. If you would like to submit a Contributions Request for an eligible nonprofit or organization, please fill out our Contributions Request Form.

Be sure to include that you are a Peoples employee in the Additional Comments section of the form.

Priority is given to activities that support Basic Human Services, Economic Development and the Environment. Because we receive a large number of requests, we require a minimum lead time of 60 days for consideration and approval.
