Volunteer

  • The Peoples Volunteer Activities Committee (VAC) has created their very own Facebook page as another means of communicating upcoming volunteer events, post photos, and share stories to our employees and retirees.

Please share the Facebook VAC site (Peoples Natural Gas Volunteer Action Committee) with employees and retirees in your network.  Also, feel free to share suggestions about new events and ideas.  If you nave any questions or concerns, please contact Anne Kauffman, Jennifer Petrisek, Bev Wogan, or Don Zombek.

At Peoples, our volunteers are the BEST!

So many of our employees are actively living our mission of “Making Your Life Better” by volunteering in their communities, serving on community boards, or leading fundraisers for organizations they support. Every year, our employees donate thousands of volunteer hours.

Whether you prefer hands-on activities like packing boxes at a Food Bank warehouse, or showing your support for a cause by joining your coworkers, friends, and family at a walk, Peoples will offer you a number of opportunities to get involved.

  • New Partnership with Global Mentor Initiative

In a continued effort to develop our employees and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership between Essential and the Global Mentor Initiative (GMI).

GMI prepares college students around the world with their job search through short-term, structured, online mentorships. GMI looks for professionals who can guide students two hours per week over 14 weeks on a variety of topics, including communications, goal setting, and interviewing skills. GMI also provides the mentors with all instructions and resources needed for conducting the mentorship sessions.

We are thrilled to offer this exciting opportunity to our employees who are interested in giving back and becoming a mentor.

Please note: To participate, employees need to be in good performance standing and supervisor approval will be required. GMI requires mentors to be at least 25 years old and have a BA or BS degree.
